Turmec earlier this year engaged in the design manufacturing and installation of the Waste Processing line for Murray Waste based in Wexford. Murray Waste Recycling Ltd began skip hire operations in the late 1990's. The New Murray Plant was needed in order to process local waste in the area, as efficiently as possible, to reduce travel and the amount of material being sent to landfill.
The plant is a C&D Plant and the waste streams comprise materials from building sites with very valuable recoverables such as metals, hardcore, timber plastics and fines, The new carefully designed bespoke plant now allows Murray Waste to process up to 40 tonnes of material per hour.
This project was designed to ease the flow of material through the plant, enhance and improve the quality of the recovered material through the plant. This project involved removing an existing trommel and picking station installing a more automated system keeping in line with Murrays goals to improve waste recovery for the local area which in turn achieved higher throughput.
Michael Murray said “Murray Waste is constantly keeping an eye on to the future for better ways to best serve the changing needs of their customers. When we commissioned Turmec to design the plant we were expecting a good job but we were extremely pleased that they produced a superb plant using quality materials, offered professional workmanship and all within specified time frame and budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending Turmec for any design, build or upgrades required to your recycling facility”
